The 2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison Edition is created in partnership with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), a renowned company specializing in top-notch aftermarket off-road parts and accessories. AEV, widely known for its collaboration with General Motors, has worked on various GMC vehicles. This year, AEV and GM teamed up to produce an updated version of the ZR2 Bison Edition. Power and Performance

This upgraded model shares the ZR2's powerful 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, which delivers 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Compared to the ZR2, the Bison is approximately 1.5 inches longer and provides an additional 1.5 inches of ground clearance, totaling 12.2 inches. When properly equipped, the Bison's maximum payload is 1,050 pounds, slightly lower than the ZR2's 1,280 pounds. Additionally, the Bison offers a max trailering capacity of 5,500 pounds, compared to the ZR2's 6,000 pounds.

The Bison and ZR2 come with Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve dampers. Additionally, the Bison includes Multimatic Jounce Control dampers in the front and rear.
